Helping keep you safe in the counselling room

As the UK emerges from the surreal world of lockdowns, we’re all having to adapt to keep ourselves and others safe. I’m now back to delivering face-to-face counselling sessions and I thought it was worth me offering you some reassurance that I’m doing everything to keep you safe in my counselling room.

I’m following all government guidance and taking the following measures:

  • I am doing a lateral flow test twice a week.

  • There is 2 metres between chairs in the counselling room.

  • I ask you to sanitise on arrival.

  • I sanitise my room in between counselling sessions.

  • Windows are kept open to ensure good flow of air.

  • I’m limiting the number of clients I see face to face and I leave at least 30 minutes between sessions to enable the room to ventilate.

  • You will not come into contact with any other people when attending your counselling session.

  • I ask people not come to their counselling session if they are feeling unwell, are showing any symptoms consistent with COVID-19, have been asked to quarantine/isolate, or have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19.

  • Also, if you feel more comfortable, I can wear a visor mask – and I will ask what your preference is at the outset.

I'm continuing to offer telephone and online sessions if you're not ready to meet face-to-face...it’s entirely your choice. If you would like to book in for a face-to-face counselling session, or you have any questions, ping me a message or give me a call.
