General Certificate in Online Therapy - I've passed!

I’ve now passed the General Certificate in Online Therapy with flying colours. For clients, this means that I’m well trained and able to work competently online using video, voice/phone, email, and instant chat…as well as face to face. It also means that now I’m going to be an approved Professional Member of ACTO (Association for Counselling and Therapy Online). Watch out for a new logo popping up on my website!

The first lockdown helped me quickly appreciate different considerations around working online so I signed up for some intensive training and development for the second half of 2020. It was one of “Sarah” occasions where I jumped in with both feet and then wondered if I’d bitten off more than I could chew, because it was intense. However, 100+ hours later (of tutorials, workshops, skills practice, research, reflection, writing) my portfolio was complete…and I’d actually found the whole experience more worthwhile than I ever anticipated. It means that I can confidently and competently offer a more flexible counselling and coaching service to people across the UK.

If you fancy working differently, message me to find out more.
